Chapter 88: Qin Lili’s Malice (2)
It would be ridiculous if Ye Tianxin was put to jail when she had Li Qingcang to back her up.
At that moment, Qin Lili then remembered how influential Li Qingcang was. Nonetheless, she refused to go without a fight.
“Are you threatening me? I’m not afraid of you! See you in court then!” Qin Lili exclaimed.
“I’ll definitely hire the best lawyer in town and make Ye Tianxin pay for her actions!” she planned.
Li Qingcang then proceeded to lead Ye Tianxin out of the reception room. Qin Lili was indignant and wanted to chase after them. Unfortunately, his bodyguards would definitely block her. No one could get through those guards.
“Madam Qin, just a gentle reminder. You better not provoke Young Master Li. Otherwise, you will regret it,” one of the police officers warned.
Qin Lili merely snorted and threatened, “I’ll lodge a complaint to your superiors!”
The officers exchanged a knowing look, shook their heads, and left. Based on what they had heard, it seemed like Qin Lili was the one who started the commotion. Ye Tianxin’s grandmother was still in critical condition. She was in the hospital’s intensive care unit. If they were in Ye Tianxin’s shoes, they would have also struck her for spouting nonsense. As Young Master Li was very protective of Ye Tianxin, it would be a miracle if Qin Lili managed to gain anything out of her actions.
The more Qin Lili thought about how she had failed to get anything out of the situation, the more furious she got. “I’ve never felt so angry before,” she fumed as she looked for her cell phone in her bag. She then called her husband. “Dear, I’ve been beaten up!” she wailed.
Lu Jijun tried to pacify her, and then instructed her to wait for him to pick her up.
After Qin Lili hung up, she reflected on what happened and called one of her friends. This particular friend was now the head nurse of the hospital where Ye Tianxin’s grandmother was currently admitted. Her friend then dropped by and led her to the intensive care unit.
“Lili, I really have to go. I have a meeting. Don’t stay here for too long. Don’t touch anything. It will be hard for me to explain to my superiors if something goes wrong.”
Qin Lili nodded and replied, “Got it. Don’t worry. I’ll just pay the old lady a visit.”
Dressed in a hazmat suit, Qin Lili pushed the door open and walked over to where Ye Tianxin’s grandmother was. As she was fully covered from head to toe, she was certain that nobody would be able to recognize her through the CCTV. As she stared at the oxygen mask on the old woman’s mouth, an idea occurred to her.
She moved quietly, reaching over the oxygen mask and then removing it. She then proceeded to turn off the medical device. Shortly after, Qin Lili giggled in delight.
‘Don’t blame me for being vicious. I’m the victim here, you see... You only have yourself to blame for doing a poor job in raising your daughter. She seduced my husband, and even after a decade had passed, he still continued to yearn for her. The granddaughter whom you’ve raised is also a wild, uncouth brat! You have cancer and will suffer if you continue to live anyway, so consider this as mercy. I’m freeing you from pain,’ Qin Lili thought.
After Qin Lili left the ward, she only removed her cap, light blue suit, protective gloves, and shoe covers when she rounded the corner to the stairway. She then threw them into the garbage bin and left.
“Ye Tianxin, you were so arrogant and disrespectful to me. Let’s see if you can maintain that haughty attitude when you receive the news of your grandmother’s death,” Qin Lili remarked to herself, her lips forming into a wicked grin. She then fished out a bottle of perfume from her bag, sprayed some in the air, and twirled.
“As expected, the perfume smells great! It certainly beats the stench of the disinfectant in the hospital,” she commented.
Less than five minutes after Qin Lili left, the nurse in the intensive care unit discovered that something was wrong and triggered an ear-piercing alarm in the ward.
At the same time, Ye Tianxin received a call, informing her that something had happened to her Grandmother.
