You've Got The Wrong House, Villain Chapter 11

But instead of feeling impressed, Lakis laughed at it.

‘What are you talking about? When have you been a man?’

—Hey, is that important?! XX! That’s it now.

The sound of swaying in his head like someone throwing a tantrum made Lakis frown.

—I thought you were really down this time! Do you have any idea how I’m feeling right now? Don’t you know I’ll die if you die? Be more careful! Treat your body like a fragile glass doll!

The light of a candle softly swept over the face of Lakis. Sighing, he held his forehead and swept back an eye-poking lock of hair. That alone hurt him.

In the meantime, Lakis’ senses were coming back. It was a strange situation, but the owner of the house really left him alone. Moreover, seeing that there was nothing suspicious about the house, he wouldn’t have to leave right away.

It was the first time he’d ever been hurt like this since he got this parasite-like microorganism that’s been making a lot of noise in his head (Of course, if that voice knew what he was thinking right now, it would be furious and run wild).

His body felt heavy, and even if somebody came to kill him right now, he wouldn’t be able to respond. Lakis buried himself deeper into the sofa and closed his eyes. His glittering gold eyelashes sat over his blue eyes and repeated several times to slowly rise again.

Meanwhile the nagging continued in his head. In any case, the parasite in his head seemed to forget that he was wounded. Somehow, he thought of smoking a cigarette even though he quit. However, even if he was in good condition, he didn’t have any right now.

He used to always shut up the voice in his head. This time, however, he’ll tolerate a little bit of nagging because he almost died for such a stupid reason.

Plus, he survived longer than he thought he would because of the voice, and while he was walking around the street with a wound. Of course that didn’t mean he was going to listen to all of it’s advice. Lakis began to look around again, half listening to the voice ringing in his head.

—Moreover, It would have been so stupid if you died like that… ! You were lucky this time, but if you did something wrong, we’d both be dead!

At one point, a cold smile formed on Lakis’ mouth.

…Am I really lucky?

The only guy in the world who trusted him was a parasite in his head, he’s wounded badly, and he’s lucky? The owner of the house, was right when she left the door to go to work a little while ago.

He was Lakis Avalon, who was the king of the dark city, Carnot, until a few days ago. However, Lakis had become a fugitive after being betrayed by the only person he believed in his whole entire life.

He was reminded of what had happened at the time.He didn’t think he got the strength of the fragments. It was all gone when he destroyed the lab, but maybe there were a few fragments left. At that time, it was best to get out of there because it had already been destroyed a lot. So he left Carnot, hid himself in the darkness, and walked aimlessly…at some point he lost consciousness. And when he opened his eyes, he was here.

—How many times have I told you that he had a bad vibe? His eyes were rotten, I told you! You were arrogant, and ignored everything I said, now look where you are, you fool!

Lakis surrendered to the humiliation and bit his lips. Although he had been wounded and overthrown, a predator who had been eating the same animal from birth could not turn into a herbivore that chews grass.

There was a vivid glow on the ceiling that Lakis was staring at.

‘You’re right.’

—Yeah, you’re a fool… What?

‘I’m a fool.’

When Lakis agreed, the voice that was so loud before, stopped. Taking advantage of the silence, Lakis began to examine his body closely. He didn’t check the insides of the bandages before, & loosened them. If the woman had done something strange to his body or there was a problem with the treatment, the voice in his head would have told him so.

Of course, while Lakis was unconscious, the voice in his head was also sleeping, but it would have been obvious that if there was something wrong with Lakis’ body, the voice would have noticed it first. But even so, the wounds he suffered were quite extensive, he didn’t even have to go to the clinic though, but to be able to take such action at home… He didn’t know what she did, but she was quite talented. Whether the unexpected response from Lakis had eased the voice or not, it was muttering and it’s words were unclear.

—I mean I told you last time that I could help, if you accepted just then…

‘Don’t even think about it.’

As mentioned, if Lakis had used the powers he had in his body, he wouldn’t have been beaten so easily. Though, he knew that to the voice inside of him, there was no “if”. Whether the voice truly felt disgusted by Lakis, it still hadn’t continued for a while. Lakis roughly finished looking over his body and began to skim over the table. He didn’t want to lift a finger, but he thought he’d have to take a look at what was useful.

—Oh, right!

Suddenly, the voice in his head became a lively one, that called to Lakis.

—Lakis, were you mesmerized when you first saw her?

At that moment, Lakis’ hand, which was near the medicine on the table, stopped. The person who had been standing in front of him until a moment ago came into his mind. What reflected into Lakis’ vision when he first opened his eyes, was the image of a woman standing in the sunlight in front of a window, as if she were slowly falling into the light of the dawn.

Somehow the scene was egregiously peaceful, and it felt unrealistic. So at first he thought he was still dreaming. But she was a real person.

‘Lie down again, sleep.’

When he recalled what had happened earlier, he could still hear the voice that was left in his memory like a dream.

‘There’s no one threatening you right now.’

…Somehow he felt a little strange, very strange. Except Lakis didn’t know how to describe his feelings.

—Wow, so you didn’t say no?As Lakis was frowning, he could hear an ominously excited voice in his head.

—Was that woman your ideal type? That’s amazing. It’s the first time you’ve seen someone and reacted like this.

This stupid parasite must be so happy that it didn’t even respond to his other thoughts.

Lakis later denied it.

‘Bullsh*t. The ideal type, how funny…’

—It’s not bullsh*t. You couldn’t take your eyes off of her. I know your heart was pounding really hard at the moment of eye contact, too.

“…”

—Is that it? Your heart rate went up like crazy while she was in front of you.

‘…’

Lakis was speechless for a moment. But he couldn’t figure out why he was speechless. Then, the voice in his head teased him as if he had caught him.

—You’ve totally fallen for her, haven’t you? I didn’t know that. I thought you were emotionless until now. Turns out I was wrong.

Lakis grit his teeth.

‘Shut up.’

—It’s reassuring, I thought you’d live a lifetime without compassion…

‘If you don’t want to die, shut up.’

Only

—Eh, you’ll also die.

The voice knew that Lakis couldn’t do any real harm to it & didn’t stop teasing him. In the end, Lakis cursed in his head. From a long time ago, the voice in his head was good at being annoying.

—I think I know! It’s weird. As soon as I saw her, I felt something. I don’t know why, but at first glance, I felt like she was friendly and familiar… You call stuff like that fate, right?

And it was a terrible thing.

—She’s the one I choose. I thought you were going to die this time, but you were saved and met your ideal girl. You did both at once. Yes, it was so simple. I’m impressed.

Now it was too much of a hassle to tell it to shut up, so Lakis was unresponsive. Then, the voice, which had been noisy for a while, gradually died down after realizing that Lakis had lost interest.
